Droga5 in Sydney has launched an ingenious initiative for VB bitter in Australia - a fully portable pop-up pub that can be constructed in under two minutes. The design incorporates a mini-LCD screen for watching the cricket and a built in cooler. The pubs were designed by industrial designer Alex Ritchie of E2 in Sydney, who was part of the team behind the iconic Millennium Dome in London and the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin while at Imagination in the UK. There are 450 up for grabs, and a promotional TVC shows teams of people trying to assemble it in the shortest time.

We like this, not least because of creative director Matty Burton's take on the campaign. 'The Pop Up Pub is a natural extension of 'The Drinking Beer' for obvious reasons,' he said. 'We just wanted to make the highest quality piece we could and have the 'Fuck-off, I want one of those... factor'. We want one, and we're a tough crowd to please.'

Interesting exercise in real time media. A team from nonsense, London gave themselves 24 hours to 'conceive, design, build and promote' a web-based business, and then list it for sale on eBay.

Charity Shelter ramps up marketing around Christmas to highlight the plight of those spending their holidays homeless.
