Greg's Ice Cream was quick off the mark to cash in on Toronto's sweltering heat and the insanity that the G20's visit brought to the city at the end of June.
Through
Organic, Toronto, the boutique ice cream store sought to bring happiness to the city by handing out 2,000 samples of its product and driving people
online. At Greg's website they could check out the happiness randomiser, which contains 1001 messages of happiness, direct from YouTube and also aggregates YouTube's top 20 funny videos, which are almost exclusively babies and cats: officially the most hilarious things on the web.
Anthony Wolch, Organic Toronto's ECD explain the campaign's origins: 'The most wonderful aspect to this project was that it was an initiative we spearheaded through our summer internship programme.' Proof that interns and ice cream make an excellent contribution to summer time joy.
