Much like Dentsu's iMixad, the Remote Palette app from Dare Labs, London brilliantly demonstrates the ability to make two of Apple's popular devices work seamlessly together.

Turning the iPad into a blank canvas and iPhone into a painter's pallet, with a plethora of colours and brushes from which to choose, the app lets users paint away on the big screen with smeary fingers, making quick prods on your handset to switch between colours and brushes.

Child friendly canvasses can be selected, providing ready-made templates to be coloured at will, making an already accessible and intuitive app even more appealing to younger users. The agency quite rightly point out that there is clear potential for this to work with brands and also in education, although the thought of hyperactive children running around classrooms with £500 iPads still makes us cringe slightly.

Digital agency Dare set up product development department Dare Labs back in 2007 as part of their belief that creative technology was, and is increasingly becoming central to digital marketing. This dedicated resource is given the freedom to explore new technologies, play with prototypes and give the agency a heads up on emerging technological opportunities.
