Contagious speaks to Mattias Miksche, CEO of Stardoll
Stardoll is quite possibly the most successful dot com you've never heard of.
The site has donned some killer heels and raised the bar for virtual worlds and microcommerce platforms alike. Strutting past the 75 million member mark, it now holds the key to a young, industrious demographic who like nothing better than to shop.
The platform which sits between a social networking space and massively multiplayer online role playing game, invites members to shop at the virtual Star Plaza in stores including DKNY, Miss Sixty and Kohl's. It has teamed up with brands from Burger King to Simple, integrating social networking elements, such as Facebook's Like button and has even launched its own TV show.
Watch our interview above with CEO Mattias Miksche for his insight into how the platform has grown, how it has worked with brands and what the plans are for the future.
