A huge thank you to those who joined us at The Brand Perfect Adventures in Mobile tour stop at the Children's Creativity Museum in San Francisco. The founders of Brand Perfect, Monotype Imaging, played host to a great bunch of professionals, including representatives from agencies, brands, designers and developers; and some first rate guest speakers.

The day was kicked off with a talk from keynote speaker and chairman for the day, designer, developer and author, Aral Balkan, who took a candid look at the state of the mobile nation and delved in some of the best and the worst user experiences.

Contagious' own Nick Parish then came to the stage and took a Now/Next/Why approach to the mobile industry by showcasing some of the world's most innovative mobile-based marketing and advertising campaigns. In addition to his presentation, Nick authored the first Brand Perfect Report, which highlights the key observations about how brands need to adapt in a multi-channel society.

The third presentation was by music industry ace Darin Soler from Sony Music who took us on an adventure into app development and lessons learned. Sony is developing on new platforms like Spotify to bring its catalog to life. Soler was closely followed up the dynamtic duo of Matthew Shaw and Johanna Werther from Google, who shared their thoughts on how to think about the creative possibilities of mobile devices.

Next up was a shared presentation by Monotype Imaging's Alan Tam and Crisp Media's Xavier Facon, who gave the Hitch-Hiker's Guide to HTML 5; followed by Aynne Valenica from Fjord discussing the current landscape and identifies ways to think about your approach for the near future.

After a jam-packed, inspirational morning, the audience were split into their master class groups to work on a brief laid out by the University of San Francisco (USF). After an afternoon of brainstorming, the classes presented their ideas on how to improve the mobile experience for the USFCA constituency.  An audience member tweeted: 'Great opportunity to come together, brainstorm and pitch our ideas for USF's new app'. The USF team are now working to see what chances there are of making these ideas into reality.
