Greenpeace and K-Swiss tie for top honours at One Show Interactive 2012

On 11 May, AdLand's digerati gathered in Manhattan to celebrate the winners of the prestigious 2012 One Show Interactive awards. A total of 91 Pencil winners representing 17 different countries were announced and the Best of Show honours went to two winners: DDB Paris's A New Warrior created for Greenpeace, and 72andSunny for MFCEO created for K-Swiss.

'This is the first time in the history of the One Show Interactive awards competition that we have awarded two "Best of Show" winners,' said Kevin Swanepoel, president and interim CEO at The One Club, said.  'After four intense hours of deliberation by our elite jury panel, a landmark decision was made to award both DDB Paris and 72andSunny for their brave creative campaigns.'

Nick Parish
, Contagious's North America editor, was among the elite jury panel.  Commenting on the awards, he said 'In Interactive, we managed to celebrate a lot of diverse work, and some important pieces earned gold. The co-Grand Prix division reflects a good undercurrent to the show: do we take a serious, sober view of the world's problems, or laugh them off? There's a capacity for both.'

Gold Pencil winners at the award include BBDO Toronto's Touch the Rainbow for Wrigley Canada; TBWA\Chiat\Day's Celebrate the Era for Pacific Standard Time and SapientNitro's Sneakerpedia for Foot Locker Europe, which was also featured in Most Contagious 2011.

The most awarded agency by Pencils were DDB Paris (Best of Show, 2 Gold, 1 silver) and Wieden + Kennedy, Portland (1 Gold, 2 Silver, 1 Bronze)

One Show Interactive's competition featured eight categories including Websites & Microsites; Mobile Applications/Sites; Interactive Advertising; Online Films and Video; Integrated Branding; Craft; Social Media and Brand Transformation. In total, the competition received 3,074 entries from 52 countires.
